The Know-It-All Boyfriends first performed when the band didn't show up for Chris Vig's christmas coctail party. Instead Jay Moran, Freedy Johnston, James "Pie" Cowan, Duke Erikson and Butch Vig decided to do an informal jam.
They had so much fun they decided to keep going and played some gigs around town. Their first official gig was a benefit for the club O'Cayz Corral that burned down in a fire on
January 1st, 2001. Freedy dubbed them the Know-It-All Boyfriends, and since then they've done about one concert every 6 months.
They perform mostly covers and 'Trans Am Rock' from the 60s and 70s. They never rehearse, so it can be sloppy, but usually it's a lot of fun.
